Airport to city

Chengdu has two airports. Check which one is on your ticket.

Tianfu International (TFU) — most international flights

  • ●Metro Line 18: the fastest, about 40–60 min to the city (Chengdu South Railway Station area). Change lines there for the centre.
  • ●Taxi / DiDi: about 1 hour to the centre, roughly ¥150–200. Use the official taxi rank only.
  • ●Airport buses go to several city stops — follow 'Airport Bus' signs.

Shuangliu International (CTU) — closer to the city

  • ●Metro Line 10: about 30–40 min to the centre.
  • ●Taxi / DiDi: 30–40 min, roughly ¥50–80.

Tips

  • ●Withdraw cash or test Alipay at the airport before leaving.
  • ●Show the driver your hotel address in Chinese (use the My trip page).
