🔒 Privacy
Hello Chengdu is a free guide. To improve it and to understand who uses it, we collect usage data when you visit. We do not ask for your name, email or password, and we do not sell your data.
What we collect
- ●Pages you view, buttons you click (such as like / dislike and outbound links), and what you search for on the site.
- ●The approximate place you are visiting from (country, region, city) and your network provider. This is estimated by our hosting provider from your connection, not from GPS. We do not store your IP address.
- ●Your device: system, browser, phone model where the browser shares it, screen size and language setting.
- ●A random visitor ID stored in your browser, so we can tell a new visitor from a returning one. It is not linked to your name.
- ●Messages you write in the feedback form, and the email or Telegram you choose to add.
Why
To see which pages help, what is missing, which countries and devices the site should work best for, and to keep the service free (including possible ads in the future).
How long and your choices
Usage data is kept for up to 12 months. To ask us to delete data linked to your feedback message, write to us on the feedback page with the message you sent. You can also clear your browser storage to reset your visitor ID.
Where data is stored
On Cloudflare (a company based in the USA) servers. Links to other sites (Trip.com, Booking.com, official sites) have their own privacy rules.
